The Bike-O-Holics Story
Bike-O-Holics was born from a chance meeting of five cyclists on their way to Charminar for a ride organized by HCR. During the ride, they connected through their shared passion for cycling and decided to continue riding together.
On March 5, 2022, the group organized its first ride to Gandipet, with six riders participating. The ride was a memorable experience, and it sparked a vision—why not create a dedicated cycling community with a unique identity? After several discussions, the group proudly adopted the name Bike-O-Holics.
As the rides continued, more cyclists joined the community. On June 12, 2022, Bike-O-holics completed its first 50 km ride to Manasa Hills. The group's goal was not just to ride but to inspire more people to take up cycling and experience its benefits. With every ride, the community grew stronger.
On December 18, 2022, Bike-O-Holics organized its first century ride to Sadashivpet. This milestone marked the beginning of many more long-distance rides and endurance challenges.
A major chapter in the group's journey began on May 13, 2023, when Bike-O-Holics riders started their brevet journey. Since then, the group has produced numerous Randonneurs and Super Randonneurs, helping riders achieve milestones they once thought impossible.
Today, Bike-O-holics is more than just a cycling group. It is a thriving community that has made a significant impact on the Hyderabad cycling scene by motivating people to start cycling, guiding riders in endurance cycling, and helping aspiring brevet riders achieve their goals.
From six riders to a growing cycling family, the journey continues — one ride at a time.
